Equipment characteristics:
WATER QUALITY PROBLEM
Water hardness is a set of natural properties of water related to the concentration of calcium and magnesium salts. Although hard water is not harmful to human health, it can pose a serious threat to various appliances, such as washing machines, boilers, dishwashers and pipes, creating precipitation in pipelines and especially on heating elements. Using such water for washing laundry requires more detergent. Water hardness will reduce the quality life of sanitary equipment and increase energy consumption.
SOLUTION
The solution to improve water quality is water softening with continuous operation WATEX CMS TWIN series ion exchange resin filters, which are regenerated with a brine solution (NaCl). The water softener also effectively removes iron, manganese and ammonium up to certain values. Softened water is suitable for drinking and other necessities of human life.
FILTER OPERATION
The WATEX CMS TWIN series set consists of two filter tanks, a CLACK WS1CI TWIN control valve and a salt tank. The filter tank is filled with ion exchange resin (cation exchange resin) filter media, which reduces water hardness, ammonia and filters iron. The control valve performs an automatic regenerations of the equipment. The salt tank is filled with a reagent (NaCl, salt tablets) for resin recovery. Depending on the amount of resin and the quality of the water, the amount of water to be treated between regenerations is determined for the unit. One filter tank performs filtration while the other one is on standby.
The equipment also performs the function of iron removal, but the iron concentration must not exceed 2.5-3.0 mg / l.
The equipment can be placed in damp rooms or in underground shafts made of grooves.
FILTER CONTROL
The WATEX CMS TWIN series units are equipped with a Clack WS1CI TWIN control valve complete with a flow meter that regenerates the filters according to the amount of water consumed. Because of the flow meter, regenerations will be performed according to the amount of water programmed, which helps to save rinsing water and salt consumption. The equipment can be supplied with a bypass line, which allows you to quickly shut down the equipment and perform preventive maintenance. All information is saved on the control valve even in the event of a power failure.
The device has many parameters that can be adjusted to suit your needs, such as rinsing time, frequency, reagent consumption, etc. It is also possible to change the water hardness of the unit (in some control unit models).
