An antiscalant is a chemical added to water—especially in water treatment systems like reverse osmosis (RO)—to prevent the formation of scale, which is the buildup of mineral deposits such as calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, barium sulfate, and others.
WATEX M423 antiscalant is mostly used if water has high sulphate concentration.
How it works:
Antiscalants interfere with the crystallization process of dissolved minerals, preventing them from turning into solid deposits that would otherwise clog or damage equipment.
Common uses:
By using an antiscalant, systems can operate more efficiently and with less maintenance, extending the life of membranes and other equipment.
