WATER QUALITY PROBLEM
In water supply systems are often observed turbid water caused by water pipe repair, disconnection or cleaning etc. Turbid water may contain sand, mud, iron, organics and various debris that clogs the system, affects the plumbing equipment, measuring devices and creates additional pressure losses.
SOLUTION
WATEX MQ series devices are meant for reduction of mechanical impurities, it is based on filtration media that filters mechanical admixtures from water. These filters can be used in household and industrial systems, which use heavily mechanically contaminated water. Such water would be uneconomic to clean with traditional cartridge type mechanical filters because of their capacity it too small and would have to be changed very often.
FILTER PERFORMANCE
As a filtration media quartz sand that has been poured in two layers is being used. Sand grain size is 1x3 mm and 3x5 mm. The equipment is simple, it does not need electricity connection and operates continuously. However, in the time mechanical impurities are accumulated on quartz sand surface and it reduces filter capacity, pressure loss increases, so it is necessary to carry out the flushing. Flushing must be performed manually by turning the valve in the top of filter, and when flushing has happened, it must be returned to its original position. After rinsing the filter, material is recovered and is able to continue water purification process. Each filter depending on water consumption, pollution levels and the size of the filter has capacity, after reaching it is necessary to carry out flushing.
Purification process does not require any reagents or costly filtration materials replacement of which would require large financial investments.
EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE
Electrical connection is not needed. It is essential to ensure incoming and outgoing water connections, as well as wastewater discharge line.
